Happy
Wednesday!
Here
is this week's verse from Word Art Wednesday:
“The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him,”
~Nahum 1:7 (NIV)
As parents, we’re angered when our children show ongoing, stubborn disobedience. We punish them, wanting the offending child to feel the penalty; sitting at home when everyone else is at the football game, cell phone and Internet access banned for weeks, extra chores. Kids seem to learn a lot when they’re outside mowing the yard as punishment. Even though their punishment may be severe at times we never stop loving them. We’ll take our suffering yard mower a glass of water, remind him of how much we love him, and say that we’re sorry about their punishment. When he’s done, he apologizes, we’ll hold him, and then it’s over.
In the same way, God is serious about the consequences of our sin. Be assured, His reprimand will be strong and swift when warranted. But God is also good. God’s goodness is amazing. He brings us a glass of water. He allows us say we’re sorry. He forgives us and holds us close. And when it’s over, he promises not to remember our sin. That, my friends, is pretty amazing!

Credit for the card design has to go to the lovely lady in this tutorial video. I watched her video to learn how to make the beautiful fan fold flower and absolutely fell in love with her card at the very end of the video and, so, I recreated here!
